What age range is the park suitable for?
Walby Farm Park is suitable for children aged 1-16 years (adults 17+). We have a range of pre-school activities (including our messy mornings during term time Sept to May), dedicated play areas as well as our Barbarian Village for under 3’s. Walby is perfect for primary school-aged children, but there are lots of fun activities for the older children too (and big kids at heart)
How much does the day cost a family?
This depends on how many people are in your group, but online tickets for Adults are £11.45 each, Children are £12.95 (Under 1 year old free) and Seniors are £9.45 (65 years and over)

Save £2 per ticket when you book online in advance. Please note that door prices differ.
Do I need to book in advance?
We encourage you to book in advance as this helps us monitor visitor numbers and guarantees your entry slot. You also save £2 per ticket when you book online in advance. You currently need to book a time slot when visiting, but you can come any time of day.
Following the lifting of COVID measures you no longer need to book a time slot for your play sessions.
What activities and animals are at the farm park?
There is so much to do at Walby Farm Park – indoors and out, so the great British weather will never be a problem!
From meeting the animals to having fun in our Indoor Adventure Play Barn, our Roman Fort Milecastle62, or outdoors on the Baa-rmy Barrel Train Ride, trampolines or Crazy Golf there is something for everyone.

What is included in the farm experience?
A ticket to Walby Farm Park gets you access to all the fun on the farm! All activities are included.
Please note some attractions (such as the Electric Quads take £1)
Special events, such as Pumpkin Picking, Bonfire night and Christmas are sold separately.
What animals can I see on the farm?
We have a wide range of animals at Walby Farm Park. Walby is a working Farm and we have 30 acres of land that we farm. You can meet many of our animals in the Animal Barn including rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, sheep, goats and pigs. You will also see lots of animals out grazing in the pastures which surround all the fun outdoor activities.

Which animals can you feed and pet?
This depends on the time of year. In springtime, we have lamb feeding, but in the summer they are a bit too big and will likely steal the milk bottle off you!
We have Animal Feed available to buy, so you can feed the animals as you visit the Animal Barn. You can also meet the rabbits and guinea pigs and groom our ponies.
Please note animal encounters take place at different times of day, so please check with the Welcome Team when you arrive.
Is the Farm Park Accessible?
We try to make your visit to Walby Farm Park as enjoyable as possible and we always try to accommodate as many people as we can. Our Farm Park is accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs and everything is on a low level. Please note, Walby is a farm and if it’s raining we can’t help the mud, so please be prepared for all weather. Read more here
What is your COVID policy?
First of all, we thank you for supporting us during the pandemic.
As of January 2022, in England, face coverings are now no longer required by law in most indoor public places.
If you or a member of your group/household becomes unwell with COVID-19 or symptoms include a new continuous cough, high temperature or loss of or change in your normal taste or smell, or they have been asked to self-isolate, please stay at home and DO NOT visit Walby Farm Park.
Please wash your hands regularly for 20 seconds using warm water and soap and use the hand washing facilities when visiting our Animal Barn and handling any animals.
Visitors will also find several hand sanitising stations (both inside and outside), located throughout the farm park to ensure hygiene standards are high.
If you have already booked your online tickets, please contact us PRIOR TO or ON your intended visit date at [email protected] to request a transfer of your tickets to an alternative date. Usually, Walby Farm Park tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable. In the current times, we are happy to move your bookings for you, there will be a charge of £2 per ticket for this. This will be subject to availability, but we will make reasonable efforts to do so.
Tickets not redeemed on their booked date will automatically expire and will not qualify for a transfer to an alternative date. To contact us, please phone 01228 573056 or email [email protected]. In the event of another enforced closure at Walby Farm Park from COVID-19, tickets already purchased will be transferable to an alternative date upon re-opening.
Can I bring my dog to Walby Farm Park?
We welcome assistance dogs to our site but unfortunately, we cannot allow dogs into the farm park otherwise. This is due to the close contact with the animals.
Is Parking free?
Yes! We have an on-site car park that is free of charge. We ask that you park sensibly, with sufficient space between cars, and respect the space of other visitors.
Do you take cash?
We do take cash and also contactless payments.
Can we get food when we visit?
Yes of course – we would love to welcome you to The Cowshed Café for a wide range of family-friendly, home-cooked food.
You can order food from your table via our online ordering system. Scan the QR code, order and pay online and we will bring your food directly to your table – avoid the queues!
There is seating indoors in The Cowshed Café. However, there is also outdoor seating in our marquee and on the decking, as well as tables located in our undercover ‘Milecastle 62’ and in our Indoor Adventure Play Barn.
‘Piglets Pantry’ is also available for hot and cold drinks, cakes & scones and of course, ice cream!
Can I bring a picnic?
Yes. Please head to one of our grassed areas and enjoy your food on one of the picnic benches. We’re sorry but your own food can’t be eaten in the buildings or on our decking areas, please dispose of any rubbish in the bins provided to help our team keep the site clean and tidy throughout the day.
Events
Do you run special events?
We host many different events at Walby Farm Park. Each school holiday you will find something fun and exciting to do. We also open our Sunflower field in summer, the Pumpkin Patch in October, run bonfire events and of course, the very popular Christmas event. Please check our events page for up-and-coming events.
Are special events included in the price?
General events during school holidays are included in the ticket price. Special events such as Pumpkin Picking, Bonfire Night and Christmas will require special tickets and an additional fee is charged. Tickets are released in advance – sign up for our newsletter on our homepage or visit our website periodically to find out when special events are ready to book.

Birthday Parties
What is included in the party package and how much is it?
We have a variety of birthday party packages available depending on your budget and what you require. Please see our birthday party page for more details. (Link to birthday booking page)
Do adults/helpers have to pay?
Each child can bring one adult for free with them to a birthday party. The Birthday child can bring two adults for free to a party.
Do the kids get party bags and cake?
We have a range of party packages available for birthday parties. You can upgrade your package to include a cake. Please note there is an additional fee for a cake.
Schools and groups
What is included in the day?
During term time we run a variety of educational packages and tailor these to each school or college visiting.
You get access to the Farm Park and all the activities on offer, we can also run talks or demonstrations or tie into things your pupils are learning about. Please get in touch with our Education team to discuss this further.
We also have a dedicated education room for teaching.
How does this fit in with the curriculum?
We can deliver educational visits from KS1 and KS2 to GCSE and A-Level on our mixed working farm.
We offer tailor-made Numeracy and Literacy activity days for KS1 and KS2.
Our Cooking on the Farm package links food and farming and gives students the chance to produce a healthy meal.
All of our packages are developed on the principle of hands-on learning.
We run seasonal school visits such as for ‘Father Christmas on the Farm’.
We have also has been awarded the CEVAS (Countryside Educational Visits Accreditation Scheme) Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge.

Do you accommodate groups and coach parties?
Yes, we do – we welcome larger groups and visits from coach parties as well. We offer a range of flexible Group Packages with 50p off the standard entry price per person, for groups of 20 or more if booked before the day. Visits are ideal for clubs or large multi-generational and extended family groups and we can also offer exclusive evening visits.
The minimum group number is 20 (paying visitors) and a £60 deposit is required.
