Honoured to be awarded The Blamire Medal

BLAMIRE MEDAL AWARD

We are very proud to have been awarded (in it’s 160th year!) the Blamire Medal year for services to agriculture in the old county of Cumberland – with particular regard to educating young people and families in relation to food and farming – what an honour!

It was fitting that Richard Rose Morton Academy who have been visiting us for many years now were able to take part in the presentation by Heather Pritchard of the Blamire Memorial Trust, as well as some of our weekly visitors!

The Blamire Memorial Trust was formed in remembrance of William Blamire who was a Cumberland Yeoman, member of Parliament, Enclosure Commissioner and all round supporter of farming in the county.

We very much see this as a team award, thank you to everyone who has contributed and visited us, we really are very proud indeed, Team Walby
