Celebrations all round at Walby Farm Park

Walby Farm Park is proud to announce that we has been shortlisted for the Cumbria Tourism Awards 2023 in the highly competitive Large Visitor Attraction of the Year category. To add to the excitement, we’re also announcing a special deal for visitors to join in the national celebrations of the King’s Coronation.

Cumbria Tourism has this week released the shortlisted names in the Cumbria Tourism Awards 2023, with finalists chosen after being judged against Visit England’s strict scoring criteria. Winners will be revealed on the 5th of July in a ceremony at the Castle Green Hotel, which coincides with the visitor attractions’ 15-year anniversary.

Farmer Neil Milbourn comments,
“There is no getting away from the fact that the last three years have been particularly hard for the tourism industry and visitor economy. We’ve had to contend with a global pandemic, energy costs soaring and the cost-of-living crisis – I’m not sure we’ve faced as much during the whole time we’ve been in business. However, we are always looking at ways to develop our attraction with new activities and incentives to ensure we are a great place to visit.”

One such initiative which has just been announced this week to celebrate the King’s Coronation is FREE entry to anyone named Charles or Camilla (or a derivative of) on the Coronation Weekend and Bank Holiday, Sat 6th, Sun 7th and Mon 8th May (proof of name needed). Other popular seasonal events at Walby Farm Park include Mother’s and Father’s Day, Messy Mondays for pre-school children, Easter Eggs-travaganza, May Mayhem for Half Term school holidays, The Summer of Fun, Pumpkin Picking and Father Christmas on the Farm.
