Celebrating 15 years of Family Fun at Walby Farm Park
Team Walby is gearing up to commemorate 15 years of family fun with our anniversary this July. As the milestone approaches, our founders Neil and Katie Milbourn have unveiled a series of exciting plans set to unfold over the next 12 months.
What sets Walby Farm Park apart is our profound connection to our farming heritage, with roots tracing back to 1928 as an agricultural family business. Through nine decades, the Milbourn family has passed down their farming expertise from one generation to the next.
Walby Farm Park officially opened its doors in 2008 after Neil and Katie transformed the farm’s dairy and silage buildings. Today, farming remains at the heart of our visitor attraction, where arable crops such as Wheat, Barley, Oilseed Rape, and festive Pumpkins thrive. The park is also home to a diverse array of livestock, including a flock of 400 sheep that delight visitors during lambing season.
To commemorate the 15-year milestone, we have planned an array of exciting initiatives. On the 1st of July, we will unveil an updated and refreshed brand, reflected in new signage, a revamped website, and engaging social media channels.
“We believe it is essential to evolve with the times, our brand refresh aims to reflect the modern and dynamic experience we offer. We always strive to provide our visitors with new and exciting experiences, and alongside our brand and marketing investment, we have been updating activities with further plans for development over the next 12 months.”
In addition to the brand refresh, Walby Farm Park will also launch our popular Summertime Pass. The pass, valid for over nine weeks, allows visitors to enjoy unlimited access to the Farm Park during the Scottish & Cumbrian summer holidays. Recognising the Pass’s overwhelming success last year, we have extended its availability to include the Scottish school holidays, ensuring that families can make the most of this incredible offer.
“We are committed to offering our visitors the best possible experience, and the Summertime Pass has proven to be a fantastic way for families to enjoy our Farm Park multiple times throughout the summer. It’s a surefire way to keep the kids entertained!
During the school summer holidays, Walby Farm Park will host a diverse range of daily activities, including Den Building, Pond Dipping, Meet the Dinosaurs, Birds of Prey, Foot and Frisbee Golf, Sunflower Picking, and the ever-popular Farm Foam Parties. Looking ahead, we have exciting plans to introduce new attractions, refresh existing ones, and update indoor areas over the next 12 months.
Adding to the celebrations, we eagerly await the Cumbria Tourism Awards on the 5th of July, where Walby Farm Park has been shortlisted for the prestigious title of Large Visitor Attraction of the Year. Simultaneously, we will host a special celebration event exclusively for Annual Pass holders during our 15th anniversary week, with hundreds of tickets being taken up within 24 hours.
Join us in celebrating 15 years of unforgettable family fun. Plan a visit today and discover the magic that awaits.
