A Celebration of English Tourism

English Tourism Week starts on 25th March and runs until 2nd April. Its purpose is to remind us about the amazing things we can see and do up and down the country.

Let’s get hashtag happy

You can get involved by using the social media hasthtags #BigTweetend which will run between 1-2 April on Twitter and Instagram.  You can also use the hashtag #ETW17. So do post your lovely pictures of the places you’ve visited and let the world see what a wonderful country we live in.

Tourism is a vital part of our economy

English Tourism week is an annual celebration to highlight the value to tourism to the country’s economy. It’s one of the few sectors that are active in every part of England and the UK. It’s the third largest employer, supporting around 2.6 million jobs, and it brings in something in the region of £106 billion to our economy.

Get involved and post your pictures, and you will be playing an important part in marketing the country to visitors across the globe.

Don’t forget to use #BigTweetend and #ETW17 between 25th March and 2nd April.
